Carbon is a material with no deformity what it's called in english. let me explain, so a material always has a breaking point. before that breaking point it bends and deforms. Carbon is stronger and doesn't deform but when it does eventually break it's instant

I Will stick with metal. Carbon carrys a premium price tag if you want quality. As some body pointed out who works with Carbon you have no idea after and crash impact about the the state of the of the frame after such an impact. Its is also differcult to re-cycle though every material as its enviromental impact.and I am not sure the gains waight and stiffness wise compared to a good speced not Corbon Bike to price difference justifie paying the much higher pricing outside of compertion.

ppl put way too much faith in cf. I'd rather had something bend slightly and I find out later than have no warning at all and it fails catastrophically.

carbon fiber is neat and pretty strong but its not steel. steel is dumby strong. aluminum is weak af but its still tougher than effectively glass/carbon fiber.

Sand it then wrap it with 6oz. Kevlar. Carbon fiber is over rated. It's not good for everything. Kevlar has a much better ability to stay together in high impact/stress conditions.

best advice if you have a road bike ride on clips on that for awhile then switch it to your mtb and you'll be able to unlock fast enough
